Allegrow alternatives
You're probably here because the Allegrow invoice arrives every month whether a list needs cleaning or not. Here's what the same work costs when you pay per address instead, and what to check before you switch.

Why people look elsewhere
Most people who leave Allegrow wanted a list cleaned, not a platform. The Starter plan is $99 a month before a single extra check, and every 1,000 beyond the plan's allowance costs $8 as an add-on. If you clean a list once a quarter, you're paying for the months in between.
Allegrow's price is a monthly plan first and a per-check price second: $99 a month for Starter, $1,340 a month for Scale Plus Unlimited, and $8 per 1,000 add-on credits on top. ZapBounce sells the credits on their own. You buy $25 for 10,000 or $139 for 100,000 when a list arrives, and the credits wait until the next one.
What ZapBounce changes for a Allegrow user
The differences that show up on the first invoice and the first results file.
The short version
- Published prices on one page: $5 for 1,000, $25 for 10,000 and $139 for 100,000, with no plan required.
- Verification sold on its own, per address, with no monthly platform fee underneath it.
- Unknown results and duplicate rows are never charged, and the pricing page says so.
- Credits never expire, and 100 free credits arrive every month with no card.
- Our own SMTP check on port 25, closed before DATA, so no message reaches the addresses you check.
Before you move off Allegrow
Run the same sample through two vendors and the interesting number is not how many came back valid.
Count the months you actually cleaned a list
Look back over the last year of Allegrow invoices and mark the months a list really ran. Divide the total by the addresses checked. That per-address cost is the number to set beside $5 for 1,000.
Decide what happens to catch-all rows
A catch-all row is a domain-level answer, not a mailbox one. Choose now whether those rows go to a slower campaign or get dropped, because the choice matters more than the tool.
Check what the add-on credits covered
Allegrow's $8 per 1,000 sits on top of the plan. Add those charges to the plan fee before you compare, or the monthly figure will look smaller than it was.
Run one sample through both
Upload the same few thousand addresses to each and count the rows that came back without a definite verdict. The unresolved share tells you more than either headline.
What switching actually involves
Moving is a file export and an upload. Pull your last cleaned list out of Allegrow as a CSV, send it through ZapBounce's bulk upload, and your original columns come back with the result, the reason and a billed flag on every row. Cancel the Allegrow plan at the end of its billing month, since nothing on our side depends on it.

Questions about moving off Allegrow
What does Allegrow's Scale Plus Unlimited plan cost?
Allegrow lists Scale Plus Unlimited at $1,340 a month (read on its plans page, 24 September 2026). ZapBounce's largest published tier is $949 for 1,000,000 checks, paid once, and those credits never expire.
Will I lose my Allegrow history if I switch?
Your cleaned lists are yours, so export them as CSV before the plan ends. ZapBounce starts from the file you upload and returns your original columns with the result, the reason and the billed flag on each row.
How do I clean an outbound sequence list after leaving Allegrow?
Export the prospects from your sequencer as a CSV, the same file you'd load into a new campaign. Upload it to ZapBounce, then re-import only rows marked valid. Park catch_all prospects in a slower cadence with fewer daily touches, so one bad domain can't drag down a whole inbox.
What happens to my prospects' data after I upload it?
ZapBounce keeps an uploaded file for 30 days by default. Each API key has its own retention window, from 0, where the file is deleted on download, up to 90 days. Addresses are hosted in the United States, and ZapBounce never sells them, never adds them to a shared database and never contacts anyone on your list. The data processing terms name every sub-processor.
Why do people leave Allegrow?
Most people who leave Allegrow wanted a list cleaned, not a platform. The Starter plan is $99 a month before a single extra check, and every 1,000 beyond the plan's allowance costs $8 as an add-on. If you clean a list once a quarter, you're paying for the months in between.
How hard is it to switch verifiers?
For bulk cleaning, no harder than uploading the file somewhere else. For real-time checks on a signup form it is an API swap, which is an afternoon.
Add up last year's Allegrow plan fees and add-on credits, divide by the addresses you checked, and put that figure next to $139 for 100,000.
