Type truemail.io into a browser today and you land on getprospect.com/email-verifier. We followed that redirect on 24 September 2026. Neither site published an announcement we could read explaining the move, so this page reports only what the redirect shows: the Truemail name now points at GetProspect's verification product.
If you relied on Truemail, three things need checking. Your login and any prepaid balance are now a question for GetProspect, so ask them directly and keep the answer in writing. Any integration that called a Truemail endpoint needs testing, because a redirected website says nothing about whether the old API still answers. And any list verified there months ago has aged since.
That last point matters most for your sender reputation. Addresses decay steadily as people change jobs and companies close mailboxes. Hunter tracked verified addresses for eight weeks and found 5.5% had degraded (4 November 2025). A Truemail result from last year shouldn't decide who gets this week's campaign, so run the file through a fresh check first. Our guide on how often to clean a list sets a schedule.
Moving a list to ZapBounce takes one upload. Export it as CSV or XLSX, upload it on the bulk page, and download it with your columns intact plus the result for each row: valid, invalid, catch_all or unknown. You pay $5 for 1,000 checks with no minimum, unknown results and duplicates are never billed, and credits never expire, unlike the 12-month expiry at Kickbox and Hunter.
Developers replacing a Truemail API call can point it at POST /v1/verify, which returns the result, the reason and the literal SMTP code in one JSON response. The single verification reference shows the request, and every new account gets 100 free checks with no card to test the switch.
