Best email verifiers for Salesforce
Salesforce orgs pile up leads from imports, forms and reps. Seven verifiers ranked on routes into Salesforce, entry cost and what they bill for.
How this was compared
Disclosure: ZapBounce is our product. Figures were read from each vendor's own pages in September 2026, and the criteria below were applied to every entry, ours included.
The short version
- The routes into Salesforce: a report exported as CSV and loaded back, an API call from a Flow or Apex, and Zapier.
- Whether each result lands as one field value you can put in a list view or a report filter.
- Entry cost and minimum purchase, since most orgs start with one big clean of old leads.
- Billing for unknown and duplicate rows, and whether credits expire.
- Published price at 10,000 addresses, read from each vendor's own pages in September 2026.
- Disclosure: ZapBounce is our product, and the same criteria were applied to it.

The ranking
Best first, with the situation each one fits.
ZapBounce
Disclosure: ZapBounce is our product. Export a lead or contact report, upload the CSV, and load it back with a result of valid, invalid, catch_all or unknown beside the record ID you exported. New records go to POST /v1/verify from a Flow or a Zapier step, and a webhook tells your org when a bulk batch is done.
- Best for:
- Orgs that need one clean of old leads plus a check on every new record, at $5 for 1,000 with 100 free checks a month and no card. See the API reference and pricing.
BriteVerify
Validity sells BriteVerify as one control inside a CRM data quality program aimed at Salesforce-centred revenue teams. Validity gates the price, so this row shows plan structure only.
- Best for:
- Revenue teams buying record hygiene and deduplication from one vendor inside Salesforce.
- Less suited to:
- Buyers who want a published price before a sales call, since Validity does not print one.
ZeroBounce
ZeroBounce sells verification beside inbox placement, blacklist monitoring, DMARC tooling and activity data.
- Best for:
- Sales ops teams buying several deliverability tools from one account.
- Less suited to:
- A single small clean, given the 2,000-credit entry minimum at $39.
NeverBounce
Bulk B2B verification owned by ZoomInfo. Its pricing page blocked automated reading, so this row carries no figures.
- Best for:
- Orgs that already buy contact data from ZoomInfo.
- Less suited to:
- Buyers who want a dated price ladder before they connect an org.
Emailable
Emailable refunds duplicates and unknowns, and its credits never expire.
- Best for:
- Large orgs that buy credits well ahead of need.
- Less suited to:
- Small orgs, since purchases start at 5,000 credits.
Bouncer
Bouncer never charges for duplicates or unknowns and adds a toxicity check for risky domains.
- Best for:
- Orgs with many duplicate leads from merged imports.
- Less suited to:
- Large orgs on a tight budget, where their 100,000 tier costs $400.
Kickbox
Kickbox refunds unknowns and scores each address with Sendex. Its 10,000 tier costs $70, read on kickbox.com on 24 September 2026.
- Best for:
- Teams that want a quality score stored on the lead.
- Less suited to:
- Credits bought ahead of need, since they expire one year from purchase.
Why ZapBounce ranks first
How to choose
- One clean or ongoing: an old-lead clean needs a CSV route that keeps the record ID, while web-to-lead forms need a check when the record is created. ZapBounce covers both from one balance.
- Minimum purchase: Emailable starts at 5,000 credits and ZeroBounce at 2,000 for $39 (read September 2026). ZapBounce has no minimum, so a 3,000-lead clean costs what 3,000 checks cost.
- Credit expiry: Kickbox credits expire one year from purchase (read 24 September 2026). ZapBounce credits never expire, so a balance bought for a big import is still there next quarter.
- Published price: Validity gates BriteVerify pricing behind a sales call. ZapBounce prints every tier on its pricing page, from $5 for 1,000 to $949 for a million.
Questions people ask
Does Salesforce verify email addresses?
Salesforce checks the format of an email field and can record a bounce after you send. It does not ask the receiving mail server whether the mailbox exists. A verifier does that before the send, and ZapBounce charges $5 per 1,000 checks.
How do I verify Salesforce leads in bulk?
Run a report of leads or contacts with the record ID and email, export it as CSV, and upload the file to ZapBounce. Load the result column back into a custom field by record ID, then filter your list views on it.
How do I verify a lead when it is created?
Add a record-triggered Flow or a Zapier step that sends the new address to POST /v1/verify. Write the result to a custom field and branch on it, so invalid leads never reach a sequence.
What should I do with catch-all leads in Salesforce?
Keep them in their own segment and send to them last, in small volumes. A catch_all domain accepts every address at the server, so no verifier can confirm the mailbox. ZapBounce reports catch_all as its own result and never folds it into valid.
Why do Yahoo and Microsoft leads behave differently?
Yahoo and AOL answer 250 or 252 to every RCPT TO to defeat enumeration, then bounce later, so Yahoo-hosted domains classify as catch_all. Microsoft Outlook and M365 respond inconsistently and throttle hard, and greylisting servers answer 4xx to a first probe by design. ZapBounce labels each outcome exactly, and an unresolved lead comes back unknown at no charge.
Does verifying a lead send it an email?
No message goes out. Our own SMTP check on port 25 opens the connection, issues EHLO, MAIL FROM and RCPT TO, then closes before DATA. Your prospect never sees anything in their inbox. See how verification works for each step.
Why is BriteVerify shown without a price?
Validity gates BriteVerify pricing behind a sales conversation, and we print only figures read on a vendor's own page. Its row shows the plan structure instead.
Can I use Data Loader to write the results back?
Yes. Download the results file and match it on the record ID column you exported. Then run an update with Data Loader or the Data Import Wizard. Map the result onto a custom picklist field such as Email Status. Your list views, reports and campaign member filters then read that field directly.
How does verification sit beside Salesforce bounce management?
Bounce management flags an address only after a send fails, by filling the Email Bounced Reason and Email Bounced Date fields. Verification works one step earlier. You check the address before a campaign goes out, so the bounce never happens and your sending reputation stays intact.
How do duplicate rules and verification work together?
They answer different questions. Duplicate rules and matching rules stop reps from entering the same person twice, while verification asks whether the mailbox accepts mail. Keep both switched on. ZapBounce also skips billing for repeated addresses within one upload, so a merged import costs less to clean.
Should I test in a sandbox first?
A sandbox run is a sensible rehearsal before you touch production. Export 100 leads from a partial copy sandbox, push them through the upload and the Data Loader update, and confirm the picklist fills correctly. That rehearsal fits inside the 100 free checks every account gets each month.
Run the same sample through two of them
100 free checks a month, no card. Compare how many addresses each one declined to judge, which matters more than either accuracy claim.
