Clearout alternatives
People rarely leave Clearout over the verdicts. They leave after looking at their own domain mix and realizing the catch-all resolution they are paying for barely touches it.

Read from each vendor's own pricing page in September 2026. Vendors who block automated checks are shown without figures rather than with numbers we could not confirm. We are one of the options listed, and you should read this knowing that.
Why people look elsewhere
Not usually price. Clearout attempts catch-all resolution, which is the hardest part of this problem, and we do not attempt it. Those who leave tend to have discovered their list is mostly Gmail and Outlook, where the resolution work they are paying for changes nothing.
Not published on their pricing page, which is unusual for a vendor this established. Their 99.73% is the headline instead, and it is a claim about returned verdicts with the denominator left out.
What Clearout does that we do not
Migrating a verification workflow costs real time, so these are the capabilities to weigh against it.
- They genuinely try to resolve catch-all addresses, which is the hardest part of this problem and where a large share of B2B lists sit.
- ISO and SOC 2 Type II certification, which we do not hold.
- Form Guard checks addresses at the signup form in real time.
Before you move off Clearout
Run the same sample through two vendors and the interesting number is not how many came back valid.
Find out if Form Guard is live
Real-time checks at your signup form are a running dependency. Stand the replacement up beside it, watch both for a week, then retire the old one. A gap in the cutover costs you signups.
Count the accept-all domains in your own list
Their catch-all resolution is the thing you are paying a premium for. On a list of Gmail and Outlook addresses it changes very little; on a real B2B list it can be the best thing you buy.
Ask your security reviewer about the certifications
Clearout holds ISO and SOC 2 Type II. We hold neither, and most challengers in this table cannot answer a procurement question about either one.
Get a price you can actually compare
Their pricing page did not list figures when we read it, so ask for a quote per thousand addresses and set it next to published tiers elsewhere.
What switching actually involves
Check Form Guard first. If it is gating your signup form, that is a live dependency on a running service and the replacement has to be in place before you switch, not after.

Questions about moving off Clearout
We use Form Guard on our signup form. What breaks?
Real-time checks at the form are a running service with your signup flow depending on them. Stand the replacement up alongside it, watch both for a week, then remove the old one. A cutover with a gap in it costs you signups.
Why does Clearout not publish prices?
We do not know, and their pricing page did not say when we read it. It is unusual for a vendor at their stage, and it makes a like-for-like comparison harder than it needs to be.
Why do people leave Clearout?
Not usually price. Clearout attempts catch-all resolution, which is the hardest part of this problem, and we do not attempt it. Those who leave tend to have discovered their list is mostly Gmail and Outlook, where the resolution work they are paying for changes nothing.
How hard is it to switch verifiers?
For bulk cleaning, no harder than uploading the file somewhere else. For real-time checks on a signup form it is an API swap, which is an afternoon.
If Form Guard is live on your signup form, plan that part first and the bulk cleaning second.
