BriteVerify is the clearest case. Validity's company page says it brought Return Path, Litmus, BriteVerify and DemandTools under one roof. briteverify.com now sends you to a Validity page. Validity gives no date for the deal on its site, and it posts no BriteVerify price. Our answer on whether BriteVerify is still available covers what that means for buyers.
Kickbox still runs its own site and price page. Its privacy policy names the group it belongs to as Kickbox, Campaigner, SMTP and iContact (docs.kickbox.com, read 24 September 2026). Kickbox credits expire one year after you buy them, so check that term before a large pack. The Kickbox alternatives page sets its terms beside others.
Three older brands now point somewhere else. Both datavalidation.com and emailchecker.com redirect to emailable.com, and truemail.io redirects to GetProspect's email verifier page. Emailable's site carries no acquisition page, so the redirect is the whole public record. A redirect shows where a brand's traffic goes today, not the date or terms of any deal.
A new owner matters to you because your list now sits under that owner's terms. The retention window, the sub-processor list, the price page and the API can all change. Before you renew, read each of them again on the new owner's site. Export your results before any account move.
ZapBounce is operated by Hashlogics, a US LLC, and names its sub-processors in the data processing terms, with 30 days' notice before any change. Prices sit on one page: $5 per 1,000 checks, credits never expire, and unknowns and duplicates are never billed. See the full ladder on the pricing page.
