BriteVerify review

BriteVerify was one of the first names in email checks. Today it sits inside Validity, next to Return Path, Litmus and DemandTools. We read it on the vendor's own pages: how you buy it, what it returns, and what they leave for a sales call.

A checker inside a data platform

Validity sells BriteVerify as one part of its CRM data program, next to Return Path, Litmus and DemandTools. If your sales team runs those tools in Salesforce, you can add email checks from the same vendor in one step.

If you just need a list cleaned, that route is a long one. You'll talk to sales before you see a number. ZapBounce shows every tier on one pricing page, from $5 for 1,000 checks to $949 for a million. You get 100 checks a month free, with no card.

Valid, invalid and risky

BriteVerify gives three results: valid, invalid and risky. With three results, an accept-all domain has no label of its own. Ask the vendor which result those rows get. On a B2B list they're a large share of the file.

ZapBounce gives four results: valid, invalid, catch_all and unknown. An accept-all domain gets its own catch_all result after one probe to a random address. An unknown is never billed. Read whether catch-all emails can be verified to see why those rows need their own label.

No public accuracy figure or billing rule

The vendor's pages show no accuracy figure for BriteVerify. They also leave out two rules you'll want before you sign. Are unknown results billed? Does unused credit run out? Ask for both in writing.

Hunter's test of 3 November 2025 ran 15 tools on 3,000 real work addresses. Overall scores ran from 31.2% to 70.0%. It's a good bar for any claim a sales team makes. ZapBounce reports coverage next to its results, so you see how much of your list got a clear verdict.

A sales call before the test

The vendor's test page says the offer is for firms that meet its own bar, and the button says Contact Sales. Expect a call before any trial or quote. The pages don't say if BriteVerify is sold on its own.

If a sales cycle is more than the job needs, you can test a sample today. ZapBounce gives you 100 free credits each month, no card. Read BriteVerify pricing for the questions to ask, or see the two side by side on ZapBounce vs BriteVerify.

Where your data goes

The vendor's privacy policy lets it process data in any country, the US too. If your security team needs one named region, raise it early on the sales call.

ZapBounce is hosted in the US. It lists its sub-processors in its data terms and deletes a batch when you ask. Results stay for 30 days by default, and each key can set a window from 0 to 90 days. BriteVerify vs ZeroBounce, BriteVerify alternatives and the comparisons hub cover the rest of the field.

The scorecard on BriteVerify

Both columns are required here. A page that only fills one is an advertisement wearing a review's clothes.

Where BriteVerify is genuinely good

  • Email checks from the firm that also runs DemandTools, Return Path and Litmus.
  • A good fit for Salesforce teams that already buy from the vendor.
  • A short set of three results: valid, invalid and risky.

Where BriteVerify falls short

  • No public price; each quote goes through sales.
  • A test offered only to firms that meet the vendor's bar.
  • No accuracy figure, unknown-billing rule or credit-life rule on the public pages.
  • No own result for accept-all domains in the three-result set.

Questions about BriteVerify

Is BriteVerify still available?

Yes, as part of Validity. briteverify.com sends you to a Validity page, and you buy it through the sales team, per validity.com read on 24 September 2026.

Is BriteVerify good?

It suits teams that already buy Validity's Salesforce data tools. The vendor posts no price and no accuracy figure for it, so test it on a sample of addresses you have already mailed.

What results does BriteVerify return?

It returns valid, invalid and risky. ZapBounce returns valid, invalid, catch_all and unknown, and never bills an unknown.

How do I buy BriteVerify?

Through the sales team. The pages have Get started and Contact Sales buttons, with no checkout or public price. ZapBounce sells from $5 for 1,000 checks with no sales call.

Ask the vendor for a rate per 1,000 checks and its unknown-billing rule in writing. Then run a free sample of the same list through ZapBounce and compare the clear verdicts.
